Practical Volunteering

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to get involved we run regular practical volunteering sessions, mainly on Wednesday afternoons, some weekends and the occasional Friday.  No previous experience is required and we supply waders and equipment. We usually meet up along different stretches of the River Kennet and its tributaries, both public and private. Activities are often in the river, as well as on the adjoining habitats and include riverbank restoration, planting, habitat improvement, litter picking, Himalayan balsam removal and much more!

Our Volunteer Co-ordinator Anna sends out monthly volunteer schedules to our growing team because many activities are subject to change, do please contact her in advance if you wish to attend or would like be on our volunteer database and receive the latest Volunteering Programme.

The quickest and easiest way to keep up to date with ARKs volunteering activities is by checking out our Facebook page (you don't have to be a registered Facebook user) or our Events pages. If you are coming along or would simply like to find out more, please email Anna Forbes
