Southern Streams Catchment Sensitive Farming 2013/14

Southern Streams is a partnership project between ARK and Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF).

CSF improves water quality by working with farmers on a voluntary basis to reduce diffuse pollution from agriculture.  The Kennet and Lambourn is a priority catchment because levels of nitrates, phosphates, sediment and pesticides in the rivers and groundwaters are high.

It aims to provide advice, support and information to farmers on watercourse fencing, farm tracks and yard works, rainwater storage tanks, pesticide handling and disposal facilities.
