Rain Gardens - Plants and purpose
Date: 23 Feb 2023
Location: Zoom
Organiser: Action for the River Kennet
Description:

Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

This event is for residents of Great Bedwyn who would like to know more about creating and planting rain gardens in order to keep rain out of the sewage network. It is part of the ARK Great Green Bedwyn Rain Gardens project funded by Thames Water. Participants can create rain gardens at home with financial and practical support.

It is the first of two online training events. This one focuses on what a rain garden is, what plants to choose and how it works. The second event on 2nd March is slightly more technical and covers where to put your rain garden and what size it should be. In the second session we will also talk about combining water butts and rain water planters into your rain scape design.

Email: charlotte@riverkennet.org for a link to join the online training.

If you would like to be included in the project but are unable to attend this zoom training, a recording will be available.
