ARK Photographic Competition 2015



We are urging everyone to pick up their cameras and head out to the Kennet this summer for the 2015 ARK photographic competition.   And we are delighted that this years competition is brought to you in partnership with Pete Davies Photograpy who has kindly donated £50 worth of photography printing vouchers for each of the category winners. The winning entry will also benefit from bespoke framing, which has been generously donated by Framemakers in Marlborough. 


The theme of this year's competition is 'Celebrating our Chalkstream' and focusses on three of the Kennet's most accessible locations; The Og at Tinpit, Stonebridge Wild River Reserve and Ramsbury Triangle.  Please scroll down for Maps.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Who can enter?

    The competition is open to everyone except employees of ARK, Marlborough Town Council or Ramsbury Parish Council.

    There are two categories ; Adults and Aged 15 and under. 

     
  • What should I photograph?

    The river and adjoining habitats, wildlife and people - get creative!
     
  • Where should I photograph?

    The Og at Tin Pit, Stonebridge Wild River Reserve and The Triangle at Ramsbury (see maps on this page)
     
  • When should I take my photograph?

    The photograph must have been taken at the appropriate sites any time between Summer 2014 and Summer 2015
     
  • How do I submit my entry?

    Images must be submitted in jpg format with your name, contact details and confirming your age to anna@riverkennet.org with PHOTO COMPETITION in the subject line. Enter now. 
     
  • How many images can I enter?

    A maximum of 3 images per person

     

  • What are the prizes?

    Each age category winner will receive a £50 photography printing voucher from Pete Davies Photography.  Framemakers in Marlborough High Street have also generously donated bespoke framing for the winning entry. 
     
  • When is the closing date?

    The competition closes at midnight on the 30th September 2015.
