A course for anyone who enjoys walking by the river and would like to know how to identify and report pollution hotspots. Throughout the Kennet valley, water laden with sediment, fertilizer, oils and nutrients enters our rivers. By identifying the sources of this pollution we can take steps to reduce it. Following last year’s successful course Karen Davies will be running another, starting and ending at the Dundas Arms, Kintbury, and including lunch. If you would like to attend please register with Carolyn by email: Carolyn@riverkennet.org or call 01672 513672.
Chalk streams are fed by groundwater. They rely on autumn and winter rainfall to recharge the aquifer and maintain flows through the year.
