ARK goes to Westminster25 November 2009
As part of the Our Rivers campaign ARK joined WWF, RSPB and the Wandle Trust in Westminster to urge Minister for the Natural Environment, Hugh Irranca Davies to make rivers a priority.
ARK's director, Charlotte Hitchmough presented the minister with a map of all the rivers which have been adopted by Our Rivers campaign supporters.
The event comes shortly before the final Water Framework Directive River Basin Management Plans are published. ARK is calling for more ambitious and detailed plans to deliver real improvements to our rivers. |  |
